The contemporary Art centre
Following restructuring and expansion work, the Contemporary Art Centre La Malmaison has reopened in a new configuration, featuring a tripled and modernised exhibition space while fully respecting the building’s heritage character.
Thus, this prestigious venue offers the public:
- Exhibition spaces across three floors—on the ground floor, first, and second levels—expanding from 207 m² to 600 m², allowing for a greater variety of exhibitions and artworks to be displayed.
- A reception area where visitors can extend their experience while enjoying a panoramic terrace overlooking La Croisette and the Mediterranean.
- A multi-purpose hall designed to host conferences, artistic activities, concerts, and performances in line with La Malmaison’s programme.
- A bookshop specialising in art and contemporary creation, offering exhibition catalogues from the Mairie, publications related to the displayed artworks and contemporary art, as well as a selection of merchandise.
Furthermore, the entire site is fully accessible. A ramp has been installed at the entrance, and a lift is available at the rear entrance of the building. The redesigned spaces ensure smoother circulation, allowing for a greater number of visitors to be welcomed.
