The Festival du Film, the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, MIPTV, MIPCOM, Midem and CANNESERIES bring together the most prestigious audiovisual experts in an exceptional location with state-of-the-art facilities.
In this context, Cannes City Council is developing the audiovisual sector with one clear objective: To equip the city with everything required for creating audiovisual content, producing an economic asset and market opportunity.
Other Cannes on Air projects include the future extension of the Palais des festivals et des congrès, including a new screening facility on its roof (to be completed by the 2024 Festival), the creation of production and post-production studios via the so-called "Avant-garde" project, and the establishment of extensive film studios in the west of the city.

This structural facility will be endowed with a strong and emblematic architectural design, in keeping with its cultural, scientific and touristic ambitions as well as its international influence. Two sites are being considered, located between the Palais des festivals et des congrès and the future Cineum multiplex: one near the MJC Picaud, the other in La Bocca.
The intention is to provide France with a "Guggenheim of the 7th Art" in the city of the world's largest film festival.
