Application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

"Personal data" is information that enables you to be directly or indirectly identified.

Cannes Town Hall processes personal data for different purposes as part of its public service assignments. It is therefore subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in force since May 25th 2018. The text supports obligations towards data protection and the individuals affected as per the French Data Protection Act.

Cannes Town Hall is the controller, as a legal entity represented by Mr. David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes.

In accordance with current legislation, the CNIL (French data protection body) has been informed of the designated Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Collecting and using personal data

Each form states if the data is optional or required. Email addresses may be used to fulfil your requirements and send information (newsletters, emails).

Individual rights

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act and GDPR, you reserve the right to access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing and the right to data portability. Please contact Cannes Town Hall's data protection officer to exercise your rights.

If you have reason to, you have the right to object to processing any of your personal data and make post-mortem instructions as per the République Numérique digital law.

If you don't believe our data processing terms comply with legislation, please make a complaint to the CNIL.
